Does the fishfinder carp lakes app actually work?

I would like to know if this app, known as fishfinder carp lakes is a real app that actually works. The description of the app itself even admits that its a good way to fool friends. Its $4.99 and I don’t want to waste my money on an app thats just a joke, im looking for a serious fish finder app.
Actually a real fish finder app does exist, How it works is that it uses a floating bobber to contain all the components. You tie the bobber to your line and cast it out into your fishing spot, this bobber contains electronics that send sonic waves down into the water (just like all other fish finders do) then using bluetooth it wirelessly connects to your phone and uses your phone screen to display what is under the water. The only problem is that it costs $300 for the special bobber and I’m not sure how comfortable I would feel about casting a $300 bobber out into the water. Also it wouldn’t work while your moving in your boat, making its uses strictly for when your anchored down or fishing from shore. So this is why I’m looking for a cheaper version for now.
